Vision Chain is the market leader in enterprise software that provides a single, centralized source of cleansed, normalized demand data to business users across the enterprise in consumer products companies. Our customers include such recognized leaders as H.J. Heinz, Schering-Plough, and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company...to name a few.

Vision Chain:

  • replaces manual, labor-intensive and time-consuming techniques for gathering and analyzing large volumes of POS, purchase order, shipments and RFID data faster than any other
  • automatically cleanses multiple third-party data sources that vary in file formats, structure and level of detail
  • aligns and integrates cleansed data with internal data and distributes it upstream to supply chain and ERP applications
  • enables business users to create reports, presentation-quality dashboards, analytical libraries and perform ad hoc data queries
  • delivers actionable and insightful content that drives top-line revenue and contribution margins.

Demand Driven Supply Chain (DDSC)

Demand Driven Supply Chain is the newest revolution in Supply Chain Management. It is based around innovation at leading edge manufacturing companies. The innovation is to aggressively collect granular demand signals as they occur, near the consumer. Next, this demand information is made part of a Demand Driven Supply Network (DDSN). The qualities of a DDSN include:

  • Real-time: information is collected as it happens so diagnoses and corrective actions can be taken before the problem takes off
  • Granular: problems and prescriptions happen at the shelf—at the intersection of time, a store, a consumer, a product, a price, and a promotion or display…so this is how deep the data has to be
  • Integrated: data must be pooled across sources into a single view rather than in disparate silos

Companies today typically have Shipment Driven Supply Chains or Order Driven Supply Chains. As a result, their forecasts are only as good as what was ordered last year or last month. They are not keeping pace with events like promotions, seasons, hurricanes, or out-of-stock conditions. That’s the bad news. The good news is that most all the supply chain management technology in these companies do not need to be replaced. They can be retrofitted to be demand-driven, with the help of Vision Chain.

The benefits of a Demand Driven Supply Chain include:

  • In-Stock: profit is higher, lost sales are lower, consumers are more loyal, retailers are happier, shelves are stocked, because you find and solve out-of-stocks with a demand sensing engine from Vision Chain
  • Low inventory: Spikiness in demand is our middle name. Whether because of a weather event, promotion, season, rest assured that the only way to forecast and serve with low inventory is to match demand as it happens. That can only happen with deep granularity (or ‘grain’) and in real-time.
  • Single supply chain view: fragmented supply chains and fragmented and frustrated teams come from having no single integrated view of the supply chain. We put all supply chain information in one place. It sounds hard, but we’ve been integrating large volumes of disparate data cleanly for a decade.
