Vision Chain Announces Its Demand Data Integrator Is Now an SAP-Endorsed Business Solution

Vision Chain’s Consumer Products Solution Together with SAP® Applications Drive Reduced Forecast Error, Reduced Out-of-Stocks, and Improved Collaboration with Retailers through a Demand-Driven Supply Network

Washington DC, April 29, 2008...
Vision Chain, Inc. (www.visionchain.com), the market share leader in demand signal repository software for consumer products companies, announced today that its Demand Data Integrator software for retail point-of-sale data is now an SAP-endorsed business solution. Demand Data Integrator is an anchor of Vision Chain’s Demand Signal Repository. The main engine of the Demand Signal Repository is the Vision Chain Server that collects, cleanses, harmonizes and analyzes retailer store sales and inventory for large consumer product companies.

Vision Chain’s Demand Data Integrator loads data from Vision Chain Server into the SAP NetWeaver® platform. Customers are able to extend and enrich their investments in SAP® solutions with Vision Chain Server and Demand Data Integrator, providing retail data on consumption, inventory forecasts and causal information.

Solutions endorsed by SAP AG are complementary to SAP software offerings, are developed in accordance with SAP development guidelines, and provide additional choices and flexibility for businesses running SAP software.

“We are honored that our Demand Data Integrator is now endorsed by SAP, through which our joint customers are becoming more demand-driven,” said Paul Beduhn, CEO and President, Vision Chain. “Through this new endorsement, customers will drive the right products to the right retail store shelves at the right time in order to maximize sales and beat the competition.”

“Vision Chain provides customers a key component of the demand-driven supply network,” said Emiel van Schaik, senior vice president, Consumer Products & Life Sciences, SAP AG. “SAP applications using demand signal information will enable consumer products manufacturers to increase forecast accuracy, optimize inventory levels throughout the supply network, and respond quickly and effectively to actual fluctuations in consumer demand at retail. Since using demand data is a top priority for consumer products manufacturers, we are pleased that Vision Chain links its software to SAP NetWeaver.”

As part of the agreement between Vision Chain and SAP, both companies will share technology and product roadmaps, as well as market the Demand Data Integrator. The solution, which previously achieved “Powered by SAP NetWeaver” status, is expected to enable companies in a broad range of industries, including consumer products, high tech and life sciences.
