Vision Chain launches first-in-class
enterprise software platform for multi-retailer and third party
demand data integration
Groundbreaking new software platform
enables consumer products companies to add point-of-sale (POS), inventory,
planogram, market, demographic, and other data from retailers to
their centralized data warehouse.
WASHINGTON, DC, April 6, 2005
Vision Chain, Inc. (www.visionchain.com), a leading
global provider of demand and supply chain solutions, last month
announced the launch of its application Vision Chain Server 3.0 at
their First Annual User Conference in Washington D.C. This version
includes dedicated ‘adapters’ to leading global retailers
such as Kroger, Costco, Target, Home Depot, and many more. By using
best-practice item synchronization techniques, this data is integrated
with consumer demographics, store traits, space planning, convenience
store, and other data.
“
Vision Chain Server 3.0 is flexible, extensible, and scalable to
meet the demands of today’s trading partners,” says Dave
Shuman, Director of Product Management at Vision Chain, “By
providing a single version of the truth, this allows teams to collaborate
both internally and externally.”
Vision Chain Server 3.0 offers the following benefits to enabling
the ‘perfect-order’:
Industry’s First API
Vision Chain’s industry-first application programming interface
(API) can publish and subscribe POS data to enterprise applications
like Siebel, SAP, and Manugistics. This makes more accurate forecasts,
reduces short-pays, enhances promotions budget allocation, and
enables RFID applications. Quickly Add New Retailers
Vision Chain’s platform enables quick and easy adapter building
to integrate, cleanse, and aggregate new retailers and enterprise
application data. Using Adapter Builder, these feeds can be plugged
in with days of work. By including a breadth of key business rules,
tying in new retailers is fast and repeatable.
Enable Real-Time Decision Making
More and more data is being delivered up the supply chain. From
week and day level store transactions to RFID reads, consumer
brands are being inundated with data from trading partners.
Vision Chain
scales to any size of database to ensure a 360 degree view of
the demand chain. This capability enables suppliers to refill
promotion
sets, quickly replenish, and make other game-time adjustments. About Vision Chain, Inc.
Vision Chain, Inc. powers demand data networks for the world’s
largest consumer products companies. Large firms use Vision Chain
to collect, organize, match, and publish retailer point of sale
and inventory information throughout their organizations. This
results in enhanced shelf presence, category captains and advisor
positions, reduced stock outs and distribution voids, and higher
market visibility. These firms include The Scotts Company (NYSE:
SMG), and H.J. Heinz (NYSE: HNZ). For more information, go to www.visionchain.com.
