Vision Chain Announces Membership in EPCglobal US and its Fast Moving Consumer Goods Business Action Group

Customers Driving Vision Chain Technology toward a Natural Fit with RFID and the EPCglobal Network®

WASHINGTON, DC, September 11, 2006

Vision Chain, Inc. (www.visionchain.com), a leading global provider of demand and supply chain solutions for consumer products companies, announced today that it has joined EPCglobal US, a subsidiary of GS1 US™, which leads US companies in the adoption of standards-based EPC/RFID in global supply chains.

Mike Meranda, President of EPCglobal US, recognizes Vision Chain's participation as a strong indication of the technology's importance to the consumer products industry. "We applaud Vision Chain's commitment to partnering with us in the development of open standards for the implementation of EPC/RFID technology. Its role is a strong indicator of support for commercializing this technology to ultimately help CP companies view their supply chains in real time, thereby opening the door to increasing sales and speed to market."

As a subscriber to EPCglobal US, Vision Chain supports the adoption of the EPCglobal Network, which will enable standardized, real-time identification and sharing of product information among trading partners. More than 800 global companies and five of the leading research universities in the world participate in this endeavor to explore the benefits and impact of EPC/RFID technology.

Vision Chain actively participates with EPCglobal's Fast Moving Consumer Goods Business Action Group. This Business Action Group is focused on developing the definitions for the sharing of item-specific EPC data throughout the supply chain -- from the warehouse of a consumer goods manufacturer to the store shelf of a particular retailer.

"We see the role of the EPCglobal organization as critical to the establishment of an international common framework for tagging and reading EPC/RFID data," said Dave Shuman, Vice President, Product for Vision Chain. "Consumer goods companies will have access to more accurate, easily comparable metrics related to their in-stock performance. Our involvement at this ground-floor level ensures that the architecture of the future versions of the Vision Chain technology platform will conform to the ultimate blueprint that gets endorsed by member organizations and EPCglobal, Inc.".
