Six Vision Chain Customers Selected By Consumer Goods Technology Magazine as 2006 Visionaries

Dannon manager credits Vision Chain as integral to enterprise-wide data warehousing

WASHINGTON, DC, July 10, 2006

Vision Chain, Inc. (www.visionchain.com), a leading global provider of demand and supply chain solutions, announced today that six of its consumer products company managers have been recognized in the third annual Visionaries issue of Consumer Goods Technology Magazine for 2006. Visionaries are singled out and selected for the innovation and leadership they are driving within their firms. Among those selected are: Dannon, Del Monte, General Mills, and H.J. Heinz.

Spencer Baird of the Dannon Company cited his firm's partnership with Vision Chain as an integral part of their point-of-sale data warehousing initiative. The project is establishing a cross-functional approach to accessing information and analytics across sales, supply chain, IT and other departments. As a team, we set forth to achieve greater flexibility inside the analytic process, Mr. Baird explained to CGT editors. The ability for disparate divisions and departments to align and cooperate within an organization is an essential attribute for future success, he continued. "Ability to efficiently identify common denominators and build around them will serve as the benchmark for ‘average' versus ‘great' with regards to CPG companies in their efforts across functions internally," said Mr. Baird.

Dannon uses the Vision Chain platform to aggregate demand signals from a variety of sources such as store-specific point of sale (POS) data, shipments, promotions, and RFID. These are integrated and harmonized in the Vision Chain Demand Signal Repository where hundreds of business rules are applied to each data source to create one single version of the truth.

"It is always rewarding for us to witness the many Vision Chain client managers that rise to the top of the Visionary list each year," said Paul Beduhn, President, Vision Chain. "We are excited to see our technology platform as the foundation of so many innovative strategies being pursued by the most recognizable brands in the consumer products industry. We applaud Spencer Baird of Dannon and all the other Vision Chain client honorees."

The Visionaries are profiled in the June 2006 issue of Consumer Goods Technology.
