Vision Chain Senior Consultant Selected to Present Database Paper at New York Oracle Users Group Meeting

WASHINGTON, DC, November 29, 2004

Who Leslie Tierstein, Vision Chain's Senior Consultant, presents "Taming the VLDBeast" at the New York Oracle Users Group (NYOUG). She has extensive experience in OLTP and data warehouse development and project management.
   
What 20th Anniversary NYOUG General Meeting

These general meetings usually last all day and often feature breakout sessions for special interest groups, vendor presentations and/or training.

Ms. Tierstein's presentation, from 1:30PM - 2:30PM, will discuss "Best Practices" learned in implementations of very large database (VLDB) data warehouses for consumer packaged goods companies. It covers techniques that warehouse designers and implementers can use to optimize Oracle database design; performance of the Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) engine; use of BI tools for reporting/query; integrating 3rd-party tools; and managing user expectations for the project.
